# SAP embeds Nvidia agent runtime in its business AI platform

SAP says its engineers are embedding Nvidia's OpenShell runtime in SAP Business AI Platform, extending their collaboration on controls for autonomous AI agents. SAP is contributing code that separates supervision from agent execution and adds support for running the system in enterprise computing environments.

SAP's Joule Studio applies business authorization before an agent acts, while OpenShell limits the files, networks and tools the agent can use as it runs. The companies are still working to connect those controls with enterprise identity systems and audit trails; support for federal and regulated-industry requirements remains on their road map.
