Nvidia releases Nemotron 3.5 Lightning model and Switchyard routing library

Nvidia has expanded its Nemotron 3 family with Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, a customizable 30-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model for specialized tasks in agentic AI systems. The company also released NeMo Switchyard, an open-source library that routes requests among models based on requirements including quality, latency and cost. Nvidia says Lightning is available through Hugging Face, ModelScope, OpenRouter and its NIM microservice, while Switchyard is available on GitHub. Nvidia's performance and cost comparisons are based on company and partner testing.
