Eight Dutch municipalities are testing DAWO, a government digital work environment built on NixOS, It's FOSS reported. It covers the operating system, office software and other workplace tools.

The trial follows Microsoft's cutoff of the International Criminal Court in 2025. For participating municipalities, DAWO offers a way to test an alternative to their existing workplace software; the reported rollout remains a trial.
