Earthjustice is suing the Environmental Protection Agency over approvals for two photoacid generators used in semiconductor manufacturing, according to the report.

The environmental group alleges the chemicals may pose unreasonable risks to workers and the public and says the agency approved their import and U.S. use with minimal restrictions. The report says the chemicals appear to be PFAS and that it is unclear whether their approvals are connected to a prior executive order intended to accelerate approvals of chemicals needed for data centers.
