Google Cloud said Filestore agent volumes are now available to all customers for non-production workloads, with production general availability available through an allowlist. The managed Filestore capability automatically allocates and attaches isolated persistent workspaces to GKE agent sandboxes in milliseconds. It supports read-write-many access and POSIX locking for shared workspaces, while lifecycle tiering is intended to reduce storage spending. The service integrates with Agent Substrate on GKE and GKE Agent Sandbox. Production access remains limited to the allowlist.
