Airbnb plans to roll out an AI agent in the first half of 2027 to help users plan and book travel, the company said in its third-quarter shareholder letter.

The proposed interface will assemble maps, photos, comparisons, calendars and itineraries in real time from a library of hundreds of travel-specific elements. Airbnb says the agent will help guests explore options, coordinate decisions with fellow travelers and take action directly in Airbnb. The company is developing a custom interface rather than a traditional chat window.
