Bulgaria adds security at Starlink facilities after suspected sabotage

Bulgaria has introduced additional security measures at facilities similar to a Starlink site near Sofia that suffered a fire, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev told parliament. Prime Minister Rumen Radev confirmed the fire Wednesday, while national security chief Plamen Tonchev said he believed it was sabotage. Opposition alliance Democratic Bulgaria said 11 of 17 antennas were deliberately burned October 9 and were used in Ukraine's war effort. Bulgarian media reported that two German passport holders were detained Monday. Officials stressed that the site was privately owned and protection remained its owners' responsibility.
