# SAP introduces AI traffic controls and sovereign cloud model access

SAP announced customer access to curated sovereign cloud language models directly through SAP AI Core and introduced an Enterprise AI Gateway at SAP TechEd. The company says the gateway combines authentication, policy enforcement and routing with monitoring, usage tracking and auditing across models, APIs and agent connections.

SAP also described LeanIX features that extract information from security and architecture documents for agents, with human approval required before the data becomes available. Its new AI Governance Assistant flags incomplete documentation and potentially unclassified high-risk systems, and triggers reassessment when records change materially. The assistant's outputs remain drafts for legal and compliance review.
