Image: DCD A planning application has been filed with the Royal Borough of Greenwich for a proposed East London development that could include a 180 MW data center, substation and mixed-use space.
The Charlton Gateway proposal covers a 6.9-hectare data-center development within a larger site and is described as involving up to $1.4 billion of investment. The current application seeks a scoping opinion on whether a full environmental impact assessment is required. Construction is projected for 2027 or 2028, subject to approvals.
