Epic Games has directed developers of an unannounced Disney game to use AI tools such as Anthropic's Claude to finish the project, Bloomberg reported. The game has been delayed from its original March release window, and staff received an AI-first mandate covering code and art production.

One director told staff there should be no more handwritten code, while the game's art would use full AI workflows. Epic spokesperson Jake Jones said the company was embracing AI-accelerated development. The project is reportedly a shooter featuring Marvel and Star Wars characters, within Epic and Disney's multiyear collaboration.
