Apple has raised the MacBook Neo's education price to $649, leaving a $50 discount against its standard price, 9to5Mac reported. Students now pay $150 more than the laptop's original education price of $499.

Both retail and education prices had already risen by $100 in June, after the laptop launched at a standard starting price of $599. Apple's refurbished store currently offers the base model for $599.
