# AWS adds Claude inference confined to Seoul and Singapore regions

AWS says Amazon Bedrock now offers Claude Opus 5 and Claude Sonnet 5 with inference processed entirely within its Seoul region, and Claude Sonnet 5 within Singapore. The availability lets applications with local processing requirements use these models without sending prompts or results outside the selected region.

Developers can access the models through the bedrock-runtime endpoint using Anthropic's Messages API or Bedrock's InvokeModel and Converse APIs. Unlike cross-region inference, requests receive no routing to other regions; throughput is limited by local capacity and regional service quotas.
