Epic Games is making a redesigned launcher available in preview on Windows, Mac and Linux today, expanding its launcher support to Linux, The Verge reports. The existing version will remain available, and Epic also plans to bring Fortnite to Linux through the app.

Epic executive Martin Keely says AI agents wrote and reviewed all the new launcher's code, with the development team supervising the process. He says AI helped replicate existing functionality and test the software. Epic has no specific migration deadline and will complete the launch when the update is stable and reaches the required feature parity.
