Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is considering an investment in Texas to expand US chip production, MT Newswires reported, citing news reports based on sources familiar with the matter. Dallas is a possible location, according to a translated report from Taiwan's Economic Daily News. That report said the potential Texas investment could exceed the $265 million the company spent in Arizona. TSMC did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
