# AWS enables Kiro web search in GovCloud

_Published Friday, October 30, 2026 at 4:15 PM EDT · AI · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

AWS says Kiro web search is now available in AWS GovCloud (US), giving the agent access to current internet search results and page content. The agent automatically searches when questions concern recent changes or information beyond its training data, and answers using web results include citations.

Enterprise administrators can disable web search and web fetch across their organization. Teams can also remove web tools from individual custom agents or block them through capability-based permission rules.
