# Replit CEO says company has stopped working with Anthropic

Replit CEO Amjad Masad said the company is no longer working with Anthropic, citing cost, partnership and model performance, Unite.AI reported from an interview whose recording TechCrunch published October 16. Masad said OpenAI's models performed better for Replit's application-building workloads and described Replit as having been one of Anthropic's top five customers.

The scope of the separation is unclear: Replit's current model-selector documentation still lists several Claude models, and a September 29 engineering post documented Claude models in production during August and September. Replit announced its OpenAI partnership on August 18.
