Lyft has begun offering Waymo's autonomous robotaxi rides in Nashville through its app, the article reports. Users requesting several ride types within the designated service area can be matched with a Waymo vehicle at no additional cost; the same vehicles can also be booked in Waymo's app. Lyft's Flexdrive subsidiary will provide charging, cleaning and maintenance, with an 80,000-square-foot facility expected to support more than 70 full-time positions. Initial vehicle availability is restricted, according to the report.
