JoyIn, a Suzhou-based robotics startup backed by Ant Group, has accused OpenAI of copying its ideas and website, according to an open letter its chief executive Guo Renjie posted on the company's WeChat account dated 10 September.

CNBC reported the letter and said it could not independently verify the claims; OpenAI did not immediately respond to its request for comment. JoyIn says its legal team has fully launched proceedings and begun filing a lawsuit. The letter cites OpenAI chief scientist Jakub Pachocki's 6 September essay "An Alien Mind" and OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra page, which JoyIn compares with its Aether site.
