ChatGPT reportedly gains permissioned access to Messages on Mac

The report says the feature operates locally using existing macOS AppleScript and Accessibility capabilities. Users must consent to access, approve several permissions and enable settings including Full Disk Access; ChatGPT also requires contact and automation permissions. OpenAI said the integration does not create an index of all a user's messages.
