Norway's government announced plans to temporarily ban AI glasses in selected public places, citing the risk of recording people without their knowledge. Potential locations include parks, schools, doctors' offices, swimming pools and gyms with changing rooms.

The minority government plans to submit a bill to parliament and appoint experts to advise on lasting rules. Private use and use where others are not at risk of being filmed without consent would remain allowed. The government has yet to decide which devices would fall within the ban, including whether it would cover other body-worn recording technology.
