# Snowflake plans private preview for AI-agent observability service

Snowflake announced that Agent Observability will enter private preview within its Observe service, giving teams tools to trace AI-agent conversations, tool calls, retrievals, token use and estimated cost. It will accept OpenTelemetry-compatible data and link quality evaluations to the underlying execution trace.

Planned features include online model-based evaluations, searches across conversations and programmatic access to metrics. Snowflake says customers will be able to correlate agent behavior with business data and retain detailed telemetry in object storage, but it has not specified a preview date and warns that future offerings may change.
