Lucid Motors built 2,954 electric vehicles in the third quarter, down 54% from a year earlier, as it deliberately limited production to match demand, TechCrunch reported. Output declined for the third consecutive quarter and reached its lowest level since the first quarter of 2025. Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles, roughly flat with the second quarter.

CEO Silvio Napoli's restructuring includes eliminating a second shift at the Arizona factory and streamlining leadership in pursuit of $1.4 billion in cost savings. Lucid also delayed its third vehicle, the Cosmos, which is expected to start at under $50,000. Napoli has cautioned against releasing it before it is ready.
