OpenAI has made ChatGPT Sites available as a public beta, allowing users on eligible paid plans to create and publish interactive websites and lightweight web apps through conversation. A user can describe a site, inspect a private preview and request changes before sharing it.

The feature is accessible through ChatGPT Work on the web and through Work or Codex in the desktop app. A hands-on account describes creating a character-conversion tool without writing code or setting up a server. Free and Go plans are excluded, and users remain responsible for reviewing a site's content and handling visitor information appropriately.
