# AWS opens AI-guided billing integration for Marketplace sellers

AWS has made its Marketplace metering agent skill generally available, giving sellers an AI-guided way to build and test usage-based SaaS billing integrations from their coding assistants. The skill gathers pricing and usage dimensions, recommends a metering API, generates code and deploys a serverless metering pipeline.

AWS says the tool checks dimensions against the seller's product configuration and runs a live Marketplace test before production deployment, addressing errors that can create billing gaps. Existing sellers can also inspect and debug metering records. Access requires an assistant compatible with MCP, the protocol used to connect the assistant to AWS's server.
