Databricks previews gateway connecting serverless workloads to private networks

Databricks previews gateway connecting serverless workloads to private networks Image: Primary
Databricks announced Private Network Gateway in public preview on Azure and private preview on AWS, giving supported serverless workloads a managed connection to databases, internal applications and other resources reachable through a customer's network. Customers delegate one network subnet to Databricks, which operates an encrypted gateway into it. This replaces separate connection infrastructure for each privately hosted resource. Customers can route traffic to listed destinations through the gateway or send broader outbound traffic through their own network for firewall inspection, subject to existing routing exceptions. Private Link remains the company's recommended connection for cloud-managed services. Google Cloud support is in development.
