# Google neuro-symbolic system solves cosmic string radiation physics problem

A neuro-symbolic system has produced exact analytical solutions for the power spectrum of gravitational radiation emitted by cosmic strings. The system pairs the Gemini Deep Think large language model with a Tree Search framework and automated numerical feedback to evaluate the core integral over arbitrary loop geometries.

The integral previously yielded only partial asymptotic results for large harmonic numbers or odd cases. The new derivations cover the full expression and include an asymptotic form that matches high-precision numerical checks while linking to the continuous Feynman parameterization in quantum field theory. The most direct of the six identified methods expands the kernel in Gegenbauer polynomials to handle the integrand singularities.
