NEURA Robotics and Qualcomm Enter Strategic Collaboration to Advance Physical AI and Cognitive Robotics
Image: Primary Neura Robotics has entered a partnership with Qualcomm to develop the next generation of robots and physical AI. The German robotics startup and the semiconductor company announced the agreement on Monday. They plan to build the brain and nervous system of robots to advance humanoid and general purpose robots for domestic and industrial use.
Neura will incorporate Qualcomm Dragonwing Robotics IQ10 processors as reference designs in its robots. The processors are intended for autonomous mobile robots and humanoids. Neura will also use its Neuraverse robotic simulation and training platform, released in June 2025, to test and fine tune robots running on the processors.
David Reger, chief executive and founder of Neura Robotics, said in a press release that the collaboration marks a major step toward making physical AI real, open, scalable and trusted. He noted that the partnership combines the company's cognitive robotics platforms and Neuraverse ecosystem with Qualcomm Technologies leadership in edge AI and connectivity. The aim is to accelerate cognitive robots that operate safely alongside humans across industries and in everyday life.
