ILiAD Biotechnologies raised 115 million dollars in a Series B funding round in February 2026. This brings the company's total capital raised to 286.6 million dollars across five funding rounds.

The company is a clinical-stage biotechnology firm headquartered in Weston, Florida. It develops vaccines to prevent and treat diseases caused by Bordetella pertussis, the bacterium that causes whooping cough. Its lead product candidate is BPZE1, a next-generation pertussis vaccine that has completed four Phase 2 clinical trials.

The company was founded in 2012 by Keith Rubin, M.D., who serves as chief executive officer. ILiAD licensed the BPZE1 technology from Institut Pasteur de Lille and INSERM in 2013.

It has conducted clinical studies at Vanderbilt University and Karolinska University Hospital. The company operates a subsidiary called BioLyo Technologies that provides contract development and manufacturing services for live bacterial products.

ILiAD uses a proprietary B-Tech vector platform in its vaccine development efforts. It has also received 10 million euros in grants from the European Union to support research and development, clinical trials, and operations.
