AI assistant startup Instinct confirmed a $1 billion Series C backed by investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue. The round values the company at $10 billion, up from the $2.5 billion valuation it announced a month earlier.

Instinct's invite-only service uses its own phone number and computer to carry out tasks such as bookings and purchases. Its recently added concierge feature can place calls for users. The company has not shared user numbers or growth metrics, leaving the scale of adoption unclear.
