Salesforce and Anthropic have expanded their partnership with a "Salesforce in Claude" plugin that lets selected pilot customers use Claude to analyze opportunities, prepare meetings and update CRM data without opening the Salesforce interface.

The launch includes 37 preconfigured functions. Salesforce's Headless 360 exposes data, workflows, business logic and actions through APIs and MCP servers, while requests are intended to run under each user's existing permissions. An open beta is planned for September, and Salesforce and Anthropic are still developing some enterprise controls covering data storage and access.
