# Framewerx acquires AD Micro Technology to widen its AI-driven managed services

Edmonton-based information technology consulting and managed services provider Framewerx Inc. today announced that it has acquired managed IT services firm AD Micro Technology Inc. Framewerx said the acquisition also brings additional staff and the chance to sell a broader service lineup into both customer bases.

Founded in 1992, AD Micro operates out of Richmond, British Columbia. Its service lineup runs from IT support and networking through security, backup and cloud. The company also handles printer and copier management for customers around the Greater Vancouver area.

The deal gives Framewerx a second regional base on the West Coast. Most of its work to date has come out of Alberta. Framewerx sells managed IT, cloud hosting and cybersecurity to small and mid-sized organizations. It also builds custom applications, among them Fabwerx, a platform for steel fabrication and construction firms.

The company said it plans to pair AD Micro's hands-on operations work with its own automation software. That software, Neuralwerx, launched in June. The artificial intelligence-powered help desk and security platform is pitched at managed service providers and mid-market companies. Median first response time runs to 3.6 minutes, according to the company. It puts ticket resolution inside 15 minutes at 92%. More than half of reactive end-user issues get closed with no technician involved, the vendor claims. Neuralwerx had supported nearly 2,000 endpoints at launch.

"Following the success of our Neuralwerx launch, this acquisition represents another important step in executing our long-term vision," said Dan Reid, chief executive of Framewerx. "AD Micro Technology brings strong client relationships, proven delivery expertise, and capabilities that will enhance what we can offer across our organization."

Framewerx framed the deal as part of a wider push to scale as customers move on AI and begin asking for help with AI governance. AD Micro founder Kimson Dy Ning said selling to a larger organization is a chance to "scale that foundation" the company built over three decades without changing what customers get day to day. AD Micro will keep trading under its own brand through the transition. Framewerx plans to fold the staff into its own organization by the end of the year, a step it said will lift company headcount by 30%.
