Turo will identify rental Teslas equipped with Full Self-Driving (Supervised), using direct access to Tesla's API to verify whether the software is enabled. Eligible hosts will also receive a free one-month trial of the driver assistance system.

Renters will see warnings requiring them to monitor the software and remain ready to take over, with an optional Tesla tutorial. Turo nevertheless allows owners to promote listings as "Self-Driving," according to a screenshot it provided. The software requires human supervision even when handling driving tasks.
