DreamHost's ongoing incident has left affected email and FTP/SFTP users unable to log in until their account owners set new passwords, BleepingComputer reported. The provider's latest update says all affected account owners have received recovery instructions; File Manager remains unavailable.

The incident began with File Manager connectivity problems on October 23 and expanded to other services. DreamHost describes the resets as precautionary and advises customers to check email forwarding rules for unfamiliar destinations.

Account owners must notify affected users through other channels because DreamHost cannot contact individual mailbox or FTP users directly. Whether files or messages were exposed remains unresolved.
