# Lam Research plans India silicon manufacturing investment

Lam Research said it intends to invest about ₹10,000 crore over several years in its first silicon-component manufacturing facility in India and expanded advanced research and development operations. The planned facility would support a vertically integrated process from silicon-ingot production and processing for advanced semiconductor technologies and leading-edge nodes. Lam said its expanded India R&D would build on work in design, testing, validation and next-generation technology development.
