Hackers have compromised Anodot, a cloud analytics platform, exposing data from more than a dozen corporate customers including Rockstar Games, the developer behind Grand Theft Auto.

The breach was confirmed by both Anodot and Rockstar Games over the weekend. Attackers claim to have stolen source code, internal documents, and employee data. The hackers are now threatening to leak the stolen information unless ransom demands are met.

Rockstar Games said in a statement that "limited" information was stolen from its systems and that it is working with law enforcement. The company confirmed that player account data was not compromised in the incident.

Anodot provides business intelligence and monitoring tools used by enterprises to track cloud infrastructure and application performance. The company has not publicly disclosed how the attackers gained access to its systems.

The incident represents the latest in a string of supply chain attacks targeting cloud service providers. By compromising a single vendor, attackers can gain access to multiple corporate customers simultaneously.

Cybersecurity researchers have linked the attack to a group known as ShinyHunters, which has previously claimed responsibility for breaches at major companies including AT&T, Ticketmaster, and Snowflake customers.

The hackers have published samples of stolen data on hacking forums as proof of the breach, including internal Rockstar communications and source code related to the company's online gaming platforms.
