PhoenixAI has raised 80 million dollars in Series B funding to accelerate its AI-native database platform built for autonomous agents. The Menlo Park, California company announced the round on June 11, 2026. Sky9 Capital led the financing with additional investors Atypical Ventures and Olive Technology Ventures.

The company was formerly known as CelerData. It rebranded around its bet that the rise of autonomous AI agents will require a new kind of database designed expressly for them. The platform unifies real-time and at-rest data in a single AI-native engine to provide sub-second access to live enterprise data at massive scale.

Led by President Rick Underwood, the company targets enterprise customers in regulated industries where data governance is not optional. The funding will support investments in database infrastructure, expansion of go-to-market efforts, and enhancements to governance features. The emphasis on governance addresses the need for compliant data handling in large, regulated organizations.
