Martha Stewart cofounded Hint, an AI home management startup, with Yih-Han Ma and Kyle Rush. The company raised 10 million dollars in seed funding led by Slow Ventures with participation from Montauk Capital, Tusk Venture Partners, Amplo, Energy Impact Partners, Hannah Grey, and Brian Kelly. Hint plans to launch on desktop and iOS this summer.

The app begins with a user address and pulls public data on the property, weather, soil, air quality, and listings. Users upload inspection reports, warranties, bills, and insurance policies. Hint builds a record of home history and needs from the data.

The system can advise watering a Texas foundation before clay soil damage or remind about insurance renewals. A 2025 Harvard study reported Americans spend more than 500 billion dollars yearly on renovations and repairs. A 2025 Angi survey found 62 percent of homeowners more worried about maintenance costs than the prior year.

Hint differs from Angi and Thumbtack by assisting before searches occur. Honey Homes raised 9.25 million dollars in 2024 for a handypeople membership model. Birdwatch raised 3.2 million dollars in 2024 for an autopilot approach using human labor.

Kevin Colleran of Slow Ventures said AI avoids the scaling issues of human coordinator teams. Stewart shaped the name, visuals, and logo green to match her farm eggs. She tested it on her property and provided guides for the product.

Hint may earn fees from product connections. Colleran said recommendations stay blind to deals. The goal is to remain fully aligned with homeowners.
