SEALSQ makes strategic investment in EeroQ quantum chip company
Image: Primary SEALSQ Corp announced a new strategic investment in EeroQ, a United States based quantum chip design company pioneering a quantum computing architecture based on electrons on helium. This represents the second investment
EeroQ has demonstrated a capital efficient path to scaling from thousands of electrons today to millions of electron spin qubits in the future. The company recently announced a control architecture capable of managing up to one million qubits using fewer than 50 physical control lines. This approach addresses challenges associated with other quantum computing implementations.
As part of the strategic partnership, SEALSQ and EeroQ plan to build a complete proof of concept at the SEALSQ Quantum Center of Excellence in Geneva. The demonstration will show integration of secure semiconductor hardware, post quantum cryptography, and quantum processing technologies.
Carlos Moreira, founder and chief executive of SEALSQ, said this extended investment marks a significant milestone in the Quantum Made in USA strategy and in the establishment of the Quantum Highway. Nick Farina, co founder and chief executive of EeroQ, said the investment validates the company's technology and provides a strong endorsement of its long term vision for scalable, secure quantum systems.
