Efficient Computer announced it raised 60 million dollars in a Series A funding round. Triatomic Capital led the round with participation from Eclipse, Union Square Ventures, Overlap Holdings, Box Group, RTX Ventures, Toyota Ventures, Overmatch Ventures, and others. The round brings the total amount raised to 76 million dollars.

The new capital will accelerate the product roadmap and expand engineering and developer teams. Efficient Computer is developing the Electron E1 processor on its Fabric architecture, a spatial dataflow design for general purpose programs. The architecture targets energy use minimization for artificial intelligence, signal processing, and controls workloads.

Chief Executive Officer Brandon Lucia said the company pursues a general purpose architecture that evolves with software over time. Triatomic Capital General Partner Peter Zhou said the processors enable intelligence in applications previously inaccessible. Eclipse Partner Greg Reichow said the approach delivers greater efficiency and lower power consumption than traditional general purpose compute.

Overlap Holdings Chief Executive Officer Justin Stevens said the company advanced with limited expenditure. Union Square Ventures General Partner Rebecca Kaden said the team has technical depth for new applications. BrightAI Chief Executive Officer Alex Hawkinson said the processor enables a leap in energy efficient computation at the edge.
