Researchers report that WebCoder-27B improved requirement satisfaction from 64.8 for its base model to 72.8 on Webdev-Bench, a new test of frontend development tasks within a single project. The preprint also reports that its average visual and functional score rose from 41.1 to 62.4 on Vision2Web.

The training system rewards changes to a working application, using a verifier to assess whether the final result meets requirements. It preserves project state across code editing, execution and browser inspection. The reported gains come from benchmark evaluations, including a benchmark introduced by the researchers.
