Meta is rolling out real-time voice conversations and animated avatars for its Muse AI agent in the US app, the company said. Users can change the voice's tone by asking the agent or choosing options in avatar settings.

The Verge tested the feature on iOS and found that responses were quick, with occasional pauses while the agent looked up information. Meta says the features will come to its AI glasses soon and to the forthcoming Muse Charm gadget, which is supposed to ship this year.
