Cleveland Clinic reported 12-month Phase I results for CTX310, a one-time CRISPR-Cas9 infusion for medication-resistant lipid disorders. Among 15 participants, those given the highest dose had LDL cholesterol 52.5% below baseline and triglycerides 47.8% below baseline after a year, the report said. The treatment is designed to switch off ANGPTL3 in the liver. No treatment-related serious adverse events were reported during follow-up. Longer-term safety follow-up is planned for 15 years, and the therapy remains experimental.
