Cloudflare said it has introduced Cloudflare One capabilities to identify inspected Model Context Protocol traffic, show the users and servers generating it, and control direct connections on managed network paths.

The company said Gateway can classify MCP requests using protocol-level signals and let administrators report on or block connections that bypass approved MCP Portal paths. The controls are aimed at organizations managing AI agents that invoke tools connected to SaaS products, internal applications and APIs.

Cloudflare noted that network controls cannot see local stdio calls or off-network traffic.
