Odyssey has released a research preview of Odyssey-3, a model the company says can control robot arms and humanoids, drive cars and guide drones. The model learns from visual data to predict how scenes change and how actions affect them.

Odyssey demonstrated robot-arm tasks learned from tens of hours of demonstrations, including recovery from missed grasps. It says a driving policy trained on about 20 hours of data drove a car on real roads in India. Humanoid developer Flexion has built control policies on the model that Odyssey says handled lighting changes that defeated tested baselines. The release remains a research preview.
