# Vercel adds Mistral Large 4 to AI Gateway

Vercel says Mistral Large 4 is now available through AI Gateway, giving developers access with one API key and no separate Mistral account. The model combines reasoning with text and image understanding, with workloads including cyber defense, manufacturing and finance.

Developers can call it through the AI SDK or interfaces compatible with Chat Completions, Responses and Anthropic Messages, and select it in coding agents connected to the gateway. AI Gateway also provides usage and cost tracking, routing, retries and failover. Access described in the announcement runs through the gateway service.
