Binance chief financial officer Kaiser Ng is leaving and will be replaced by Justin Yek, TechCrunch reported. Co-CEO Yi He said Ng would pursue a new venture and that the exchange had implemented a transition plan over the last half year.

The announcement follows the theft of $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance users. Withdrawals were frozen for several days; users withdrew a net $3.6 billion in the first few hours after accounts reopened. Binance said it would bear all losses.
