Blueprints AI says customers are using expanded building-design software

Blueprints AI says customers are using expanded building-design software Image: Primary
Blueprints AI says early customers are using its second-generation software, which creates building blueprints from a description or sketch across architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and interior design. Founder Al Drams told TechCrunch it will become publicly available this week. The new version lets users change a design, updates the entire project when they do and checks changes against local building codes. Its predecessor produces architectural construction documents. The company trained its models using eight years of approved drawing sets from Drams' design and construction firm. The startup targets professional design firms, developers and property owners. Licensed professionals still review and seal the documents before permit submission, the co-founders said.
