Moonshot AI is in talks with at least one European data center to lease clusters containing 8,000 or more Nvidia GPUs for inference, CNBC reported. The Chinese developer of Kimi is also interested in training capacity.

Chinese companies cannot acquire Nvidia Blackwell chips directly, but can access overseas computing capacity through rentals. The U.S. House has passed the Remote Access Security Act to restrict that route; the legislation still needs Senate and White House approval.
