CSS-Tricks has returned to independent ownership, its new owner announced, ending the developer publication's ownership by DigitalOcean, which bought it from founder Chris Coyier in 2022. The new owner has worked on the site for 12 years and is making it a full-time job, supported by a small team.

The publication plans to resume advertising packages and its newsletter, offers paid membership, and is developing a beginner HTML/CSS course. Article publishing will continue, initially at an expected one or two articles most weeks.
