Google introduced Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, voice-focused models with near-real-time visual input processing, background tool and API calls, and support for 97 languages. Google said the standard model is rolling out through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio and Search Live. Extended Thinking is also rolling out to developers, while enterprise access begins in private preview.
